This event was attended by 34 members.A very good attendance under the circumstances.
The Chairman, Geoff Thompson, opened the meeting by welcoming those present and reporting that sadly we had lost a number of Members since we werer last able to gather for Lunch since November 2019. Details were available on the Club website, and they were Allan Roberts, David A Jones, David M Jones, Jim Flack, Ricky Reid, Tony Brimble, Colin Rumbles, Tony Butcher, Dr John Stoddart, Bruce Urquhart, Stewart Lawrence and Jeremy Oakes. He mentioned that the "First Wednesday" lunches had resumed and hoped that things were becoming more normal.
Geoff announced that the Officers were all willing to continue in office. All were elected by acclamation.
Nick Pickett did not give a Treasurer's report, as there had been no activity since the last AGM. The Club continues to have a healthy balance in the bank. The Club has had to change bankers because of the imposition of charges by our previous bank.
Geoff then presented our hard-working secretary, Lin Cooper, with a token of our appreciation in recognition of her continued good work and of her efforts in the administration of the event.
The AGM concluded by Geoff thanking the Officers for their good work in the past and the caterers for their efforts in preparing the meal. The Buffet was then opened.
Thanks are due to Southwater Sports Club for their hospitality and good service.
