This event was attended by 37 members including some new names, who were very welcome. 46 were unable to attend and sent apologies.
The Acting Chairman, Terry Harper, opened the meeting by welcoming those present and reporting that sadly we had lost a number of Members during the past year, notably our Chairman, Frank Hart. Three had asked to be deleted from the list, Roland King, Bill Gibbs and Ken Whittaker, who sent messages teo their friends. New members are, of course, welcome.
Terry announced that the remaining Officers were all willing to continue in office, and Geoff Thompson had agreed to stand as Chairman. All were elected by acclamation.
Nick Pickett gave his Treasurer's report, copies of the accounts having been distributed with the invitation and would be published on the web site. Members were reminded that price of meals would have to rise from the next Lunch, as the Club Funds would be depleted rapidly if the current subsidy were to continue. They can be seen by clicking here. The Club continues to have a healthy balance in the bank.
Terry then presented our hard-working secretary, Lin Cooper, with a token of our appreciation in recognition of her continued good work and of her efforts in the administration of the event.
The AGM concluded by Terry thanking the Officers for their good work in the past and handing over the Chairmanship to Geoff. The Buffet was then opened.
For a change it was a hot meal, and thanks are due to Southwater Sports Club for their hospitality and good service.
