This event was attended by almost 60 members and we were very pleased to see them all.
The Chairman, Derek Gosden opened the AGM by welcoming all those who came, and read out some messages from members unable to attend. He also reported the recent deaths of Len Clapp, late of the W-D Lab, and of Peter McKay.
He announced that there had been no further nominations for office, but fortunately all those serving had agreed to continue. He therefore declared that there would be no elections and that they would be appointed en bloc to serve another term.
He then presented our hard-working secretary, Lin Cooper, with a token of our appreciation in recognition of her continued good work and of her efforts in the administration of the event.
The Treasurer, David Powdrill, gave his report and gave a copy of the accounts to be published on the web site. They can be seen by clicking here. The Club continues to have a healthy balance in the bank.
The AGM concluded with thanks to the Officers and the Buffet was opened.
As usual, the food was excellent, and we were unable to do full justice to the spread prepared for us.
